The late Jim Richards Athabaska Railroad is set in Canada. Large basement sized layout HO standard gauge. Nearly all track in with magnificent trestles, prizewinning structures, modest scenery. Layout designed to operate. Jim's widow is graciously allowing access to the railroad. He had several articles in MR, won several of their kitbashing awards, friend of Tony Koester. Andy Saez (of Campbell scale models Saez Sash and Door Company) 7 1/2 inch outdoor railroad. Well known in the area. There is a full sized caboose on the property and a custom depot with a large collection of railroad artifacts. |
